Simsbury is a quintessential New England community of pleasant neighborhoods, carefully-zoned commercial districts and well-preserved natural beauty. One of Connecticut's oldest towns, Simsbury has been enjoying tremendous growth for decades.
The community has condominium communities, historic restorations, stately traditional homes and elegant contemporaries. Sweeping meadows with winding streams, mountain vistas, woodlands and tree-lined neighborhoods provide for pleasant living.

The focal point is the 235-acre Simsbury Farms Recreational Complex, which includes an 18-hole golf course, covered outdoor skating rink, outdoor pool, lighted tennis courts, paddle tennis courts and a fitness trail. Kayaking and canoeing are available on the Farmington River. Simsbury is also home to the International Skating Center of Connecticut, where national, international and Olympic champions train.
State parks in Simsbury include Penwood State Park, Stratton Brook State Park and Talcott Mountain State Park, where the 165-foot Heublein Tower offers a panoramic view of the community and surrounding towns. Mountain climbing and picnicking are also available at Talcott Mountain. |
